The LINQ Las Vegas

The LINQ is an open-air concept, no cars allowed, several eateries, stores and bars

The newest Las Vegas shopping district, The LINQ is a 200,000-square-foot outdoor dining, retail, and entertainment zone, and like many of those, the style is an urban city street with individual buildings of varying styles. It is a genius expansion to that part of the strip. The LINQ is an open-air concept, no cars allowed, several eateries, snacks, bars.
At the very end, there is the the High Roller wheels.

To get there, you can park at the Flamingo or at the Quad. The Quad's parking is confusing and has not letters or something for the islands. Like second floor parking and that is all info you can get when you park your car in any floor.

Located inside The Quad Casino, O’Sheas features direct access to The LINQ. With gaming, beer pong, live entertainment and 50-plus beer blends, it’s hard not to get lucky at this Irish-inspired Las Vegas bar.

High Roller
Topping 550 feet to make it the largest observation wheel in the world, the epic High Roller is the crown jewel of The LINQ. With 28 spherical, glass-enclosed cabins, passengers are in for unparalleled views of Las Vegas in each full 30 minute rotation.

Purple Zebra
At its self-serve daiquiri bar with 20 frozen daiquiri flavors, mix and match an infinite number of combinations, and even add candy toppings or keep it classy with a non-alcoholic creation.  more...

... and don't record anything after drinking daiquiri ;)

Wanna check your emails? You can check in the middle of The LINQ on a huge screen, so everybody walking by can see all your emails.
There are two options: Gmail and MSN. There are other options to surf the web as well.

BTW, we parked at the The Quad Casino and I don't blame the daiquiri we had (humm), Quad Casino parking is awful. Took us forever to find our car.

Purple Zebra Daiquiri Bar

Purple Zebra Las Vegas at The LINQ is a unique daiquiri bar with a futuristic vibe. At its self-serve daiquiri round shaped bar with 30 frozen daiquiri flavors, you can mix an infinite number of combinations, and even add candy toppings.

Purple Zebra carry countless types of containers in all sorts of funky shapes like saxophones, women fishnet clad leg, purple zebras, shoes and then some. They also carry cool trinkets and candy.

Daiquiri lovers are in heaven with all flavors to choose from. But, you really don't need to choose. It's a self-serve bar, so, get you a saxophone and fill it up with all you can drink. You are brain freeze ready to go around The LINQ.

With funky, fantastical wonderland-like design elements, grown-ups get to be kids again—and unlike the frozen yogurt parlor, these cold treats pack a savory adult punch. You get to sample about a dozen different types of flavors. The Best of the Best is the Peachy Keen and the second best is Cheetah a go-go

They offer different promotions during week days, like 2-for-1 on Tuesdays.

... but remember, there is a result of drinking lots of daiquiri and record what you are doing: The LINQ Las Vegas

The name Purple Zebra derives from a reference in Scott Fitzgerald's 1920 novel This Side of Paradise, which features a daiquiri drunk character surprised to witness a "purple zebra."

Another victim of dog bites

Another victim of dog bites. This time is a 7-year-old boy. He was attacked by a pit bull  last week. The boy is at UMC recuperating from a severe bite wound to the calf.

If wasn't for a hero who used the gun to save the boy's life, today would be the day of this boy's funeral.

Neighbors said it's common for pit bulls to run loose in the neighborhood. Pit bulls attack mail carriers and even police around the area.

Dogs can be trained, of course, but they will always be dogs and they always will bite you, will kill babies and attack kids.

It's unbelievable how irresponsible dogs' owners are here in Vegas. They just don't care about anybody. There are dozens of dog parks around Vegas and most of them are empty. Check dog parks on a Google maps below.
