Snow around Las Vegas

When the first snow fell in Mount Charleston, nobody predicted it would snow in the city plus in February! 
Accumulating snow fell on the Las Vegas strip for the first time in over a decade Wednesday night and Thursday, continuing an over two-week stretch of cold weather in the Desert Southwest.
According to the National Weather Service, 0.5 inch of snow was measured at McCarran International Airport Wednesday, the first time the city's official reporting site recorded measurable snowfall since Dec. 17, 2008, when they picked up 3.6 inches. more...more...
