Don't book a hotel before read this. When vacations are near, the first thing most of people do is to search for a "hotel", "cheap hotel" "Caribbean cheap hotel". Right? Wrong. The first thing to do is to search for travel guide site and learn about the place we are planning to visit. With all information at hand, we can start looking for a "hotel", "camping" close to the attractions or main places we are planning to visit. Many people send me emails every day telling me of their chosen places to stay and its exact location. One of them told me that she got a $19.95 hotel rate in Vegas last summer. What did she really get? She was almost 4 miles from the Strip. To get to the Strip she had to take a cab. Cabs in Vegas are really expensive. So, every single day she spent around $40.00 just to arrive at the Strip. Plus, she ate on the Strip, spending a small fortune. Every single thing on the Strip is at least double the regular price. |
It would have been better if she did some research about Las Vegas before she booked the hotel. I mean, she could have stayed at a local casino, close to the Strip, with free shuttles provided by the hotel. Food is inexpensive at the local casinos. At the Orleans, for example, you can eat a steak and two eggs for less than $4.00, and at Arizona Charlie's you can have a wonderful breakfast for $2.50. Sometimes, the cheapest thing becomes the most expensive one in the long run. Do a little research before your trip; you'll be happy you did.
